10.39 "Kion? Kion? Kion...ki...ki..." La okuloj de Onjo Krizantemo sovaĝiĝis kaj ŝia voĉo iĝis terura. "Ĉu vi havas alian virinon?"
"Ne alian virinon,sed kamaradinon," la Delegito korektis ŝin,provante moligi la etoson per aperigo de amara rideto. "Mi renkontis ŝin,kiam mi studis en Universitato Sun Jat-sen en la ĉefurbo de la Laborista Patrujo. Ŝi amas Ĉinion kaj la ĉinan popolon. Ŝi mem estas ankaŭ proleto..."
"Aj-" Onjo Krizantemo kriĉis subite kaj ĵetis malantaŭen la kapon kaj forsvenis.
Ni staris silente,fiksrigardante la vidaĵon senvorte. Ni ne komprenis,pri kio temis. La situacio aspektis tiel stranga,ke ĝi ŝajnis sonĝo. Ĝenite de okuloj,kiuj nun fiksiĝis al li el diversaj direktoj,la Delegito rompis la silenton per alparolo al Laŭ Liŭ: "Kamarado Laŭ Liŭ,mi ĝojis aŭdi de Kamarado Politika Direktanto hodiaŭ matene,ke vi rezignis la profesion rakonti la eksmodajn feŭdajn historiojn. Nur vidu! Kiel efikas tiuj feŭdaj ideoj al kompatinda Krizantemo! Kiu diris al ŝi,ke ŝi atendu min dum tiom da longaj jaroj? Konduku ŝin hejmen,Kamarado Laŭ Liu,ĉu ne? Kaj bonvolu sur via posteno kiel Vickomisaro de Propaganto konigi al ŝi la novajn ideojn. Mi esperas revidi vin pli ofte. Sed nun mi devas foriri."
