Nu do,unu,du,tri..." Kaj ŝi okuladis lin kiel aglino.

Uncle Pan was completely dumbfounded by the shower of words that knocked on his earsdrums like thunder. And while she was speaking her eyes bulged out,as round as balls,as if she wanted to swallow him up alive. His old face went pale, and his lips started quivering fitfully. After a long while of stupefaction a few words came out of his convulsive mouth intermittently: Madam Mao Mao,Madam...Mao...Mao..."
"I don't want you to call me Madam or even Lady!" She-crow interrupted him all of a sudden. "I just want you to tell me plainly and frankly what it is all about. You revolutionaries are ever so secretive. I know your ways. Don't think I am foolish!"
"No,you're not foolish. You're very clever,Madam Mao Mao..."
"Ahem!" she interrupted Uncle Pan again, pointing her index finger right at the forehead of the old uncle,"don't try to flatter me. Tell me right away the secrets of your revolution!"
Uncle Pan's face went as pale as wax. He babbled nervously,"Madam Mao Mao,you must give me a chance to explain if you want to know what it is all about...."
"All right! All right!" She-crow interrupted Uncle Pan again, her arms now akimbo. "Tell me the secret of your revolution. Now then,one,two,three..." And she glared at him like an eagle.
